School Psychology & Psychometry
UAB’s School Psychology (EdS) and Psychometry Program (MAEd & Graduate Certificate) embraces its mission to provide learning experiences grounded in the scientist-practitioner model that enable our graduates to become well-rounded, effective School Psychologists and Psychometrists who work in public schools or related settings. Our program prepares our graduates to work with diverse populations and to practice competently, ethically, and from a scientific perspective in the major domains of school psychology practice, including consultation, assessment, prevention, intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research.
Our students progress through a rigorous, sequential online program of study and are actively involved in school-based learning activities, practicum, research experiences, and culminating in a comprehensive internship. As a result, by the time of their graduation, they have developed a broad range of knowledge and skills and are highly sought after by school districts and doctoral programs across Alabama and the US.
This program is designed for full-time educators who want to re-specialize to the field of School Psychology and Psychometry. The program is delivered through a totally online platform with field-based experiences in your employing school-district.
